I was Born and raised in Omaha Nebraska. Go BIG Red! After graduating from high school, I entered the United StatesNavy nine months later in February of 1979 and was on active duty until November 1982. It was on March 15, 1982,while stationed on Guam that I came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ alone for my eternal salvation. It was also here that Iwould meet my future wife of over 37 years, Paula. Her father, Jack Davis, was a missionary who ministered to the localmilitary community, and under his discipleship and preaching, I heard the call of God on my life to full time the ministry. As he preached from Romans 10, it was verses 14 and 15 that haunted me: "How then shall they call on him in whomthey have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hearwithout someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feetof those who preach the good news!" I soon surrendered to the Lord and told Himhim that Whatever He wanted me to doI would do, Wherever He wanted me to go, I would go, and Whenever He wanted me to go, I would go. Since surrendering my life to Christ, I have spent eighteen years in foreign missions and nearly sixteen as a pastor. It has beenmy belief that if we are to truly understand Split infinitive and know God's Word, we must learn it in its logical sequence. Thus I preach in an expositional, verse by verse manner keeping my teaching in the context to which it was written.
